HOT OR NOT: Morphe 39A - Dare to Create Eyeshadow Palette

Hey guys! I'm back with another hot or not post and guess what's on the list for today..

The infamous Morphe 39A - Dare to Create Eyeshadow Palette. When this baby arrived in the mail I was in complete shock. I had been eyeing this palette on their website ever since it launched back during the holidays. When I heard that the palette was limited edition and would soon be gone for good, I just had to make sure I got my hands on it.

Wondering if this palette was worth the hype? Keep reading to find out my first impressions on this palette.

DISCLAIMER: This post will consist of MY personal view on this product. I am in no way trying to bash a brand or their products. I am also not trying to offend anyone that may be in love with this product or brand. Please keep in mind that everything does not work for everyone.

A Little Bit About Morphe

If you know anything about beauty, you know that Morphe is an online makeup brand that dominates social media. If you haven't heard of them, I promise you their products WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Within the past year the brand has been expanding. They sell some of their most popular products at Ulta (online and in store). They're also opening up more physical stores around the US. When I found out that they were opening one at the Galleria in Dallas, I literally almost cried.

Morphe is known for their great quality products at affordable prices. Major beauty influencers (Jaclyn Hill, Manny MUA, Alissa Ashley etc.) all rave about how amazing Morphe is in a lot of their videos.

I've had my fair share of Morphe products within the past year, and I have to say I haven't been disappointed. I also do a lot of research and read/watch a ton of reviews before purchasing ANYTHING online. If you're a beauty lover who is ballin' on a budget, Morphe is definitely the perfect place to shop.

The Palette

First Impressions: First off, let's talk about how childish Morphe is for making this palette limited edition. The palette comes with 39 different shades, with a mixture of mattes and shimmers. There is a wide range of colors in the palette and that's one of the reasons I was so drawn to it. I normally stick to neutral shades but I felt like this palette would give me the ability to create a lot of fun and vivid looks. It also still gives you an entire row of transition shades that can allow you to still create beautiful everyday looks.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation on this palette is EVERYTHING. As soon as I swathed the first color on my arm I knew that this palette would be my new favorite. The colors were so opaque and showed up really well. Especially the shimmers, they were super metallic. I haven't gotten a chance to use them on my eyes yet, but I can already tell that they're going to be amazing.

Texture: These eye shadows are so creamy. As I began to swatch them, they felt just as soft as some of my high end shadows. There wasn't a lot of fall out, from what I can tell, but that's normally not something that bothers me a lot.

Pan/Palette Size: The one thing that I didn't like about the palette is the actual sizing. The palette is really big and kind of hard to hold. I can see this being a problem for some people who actually like to hold their palettes in their hands when doing their eye shadow. Personally for me it won't bother me too much because I can just sit it down when doing my makeup.

On the other hand, the pan sizes are perfection. I really like how they made the transition colors bigger than the rest of the colors because those shades will probably be what I use the most.

My Rating

So after swathing the shadows and playing around with them a little bit I would definitely consider this palette to be HOT. You can create so many different looks with this palette and with 39 eye shadows for $32, I don't think you can find a better deal.

Morphe does a great job with creating great products at a really affordable price.

I know this palette was limited edition but I'm sure there are still ways you can get your hands on it. If not take a look on the Morphe website and try out another one of their palettes. I'm sure the quality will be just as amazing as this one.

Have you shopped with Morphe before? Do you own this palette? What other Morphe products would you like to see me review? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time beauties.
