My Current Beauty Favs - Colourpop Edition
A few days ago I asked you guys if you wanted a post about my favorite Colourpop products. I got a lot of responses on my Instagram story and overall the answer was YES. Sidenote: if you're not following me on Instagram I'm coming for you (just click the link below this post).
Needless to say I'm a huge Colourpop fan and I have a ton of their products. It's honestly like an addiction, their products are such a good quality for such a great price. I know that the website can be a little overwhelming because they have a TON of products. So if you're interested in ordering some items from Colourpop, but don't know where to start you've come to the right place. (Some of you might just be reading to be nosey about my favorite products but that's okay too).
So, let's get to it! Here are my current beauty favs from Colourpop.
Pressed Powder Shadow
Eye shadow has to be one of my favorite things about makeup. I have been playing in eye shadow since I was in high school, before I started wearing foundation (I know crazy right). An eye look can really take your beat to the next level. Even if you use one color on your lid, it can really make a difference.
So when Colourpop released traditional pressed eye shadows, I had to get my hands on them. The brand became famous from it's non-traditional form of eye shadow, Super Shock Shadows, but those honestly never really appealed to me when I first started shopping with them. (We'll talk about those later though).
So far in my collection I have a couple of eye shadow palettes and single shadows. I am obsessed with ALL of them. The colors are so vibrant and pigmented, and they blend out like a dream. Another great thing about these eye shadows..they're only $5. Of course if you purchase a palette those are going to be a little bit more, but a single eye shadow for $5, that's unbeatable!
Although these are a new product, I had to make sure that I mentioned these lipsticks. These have one of the best formulas I have ever tried. They are so comfortable to wear and they last pretty much all day.
I also like the fact that there are so many colors to choose from. Although I normally stick to nudes, they have something to offer for whatever mood you're in.
I won't go on about these because I have an entire post dedicated to them. Click here if you're interested. If you haven't check it out I'm giving you the side eye right now.
Let's talk about these lippie pencils! When I first started purchasing these lip liners I was so shook. Colourpop has the best lip liner formula that I have EVER tried. Yes I did say ever tried. The product glides on really smooth and it can really help you create beautiful lip colors. They also stay on all day, and they are NOT drying. Sometimes when I don't feel like applying a lipstick I will fill in my lips with these pencils, add a gloss and go.
My favorite lippie from Colourpop is in the shade KAE, from their collaboration with Karreuche. The lippie is a brown shade and I use it to outline my lips whenever I wear any kind of nude. It is honestly a lip pencil that I can't live without. (I have like four or five backups).
If you're someone who loves lip products, the Colourpop lippie pencils are one of the best.
No Filter Concealer
Last year Colourpop decided to release concealers as their first complexion product and they made a gem with these. This concealer is one of my favorite concealers (drug store or high end). The formula for this concealer is very blendable and it dries down super matte.
I normally mix this concealer with my Tarte Shape Tape and it creates the perfect color and finish for a lot of my looks. I use a Beauty Blender to blend out the concealer and it leaves my skin looking FLAWLESS.
I also appreciate the fact that there are a ton of different shades in this product. In total there are currently 15 different concealer shades. I think that allows for a variety of different skin tones to be able to use their products.
This is another product that I probably have four or five backups of (I know I have a problem).
Super Shock Shadows
Finally, I had to make sure that I mentioned the Colourpop OGs. Colourpop's Super Shock Shadows are what made the brand famous. These eye shadows are soooo pigmented and soft. There's no other products on the market like it.
In all honesty I hopped on the bandwagon late with these. I didn't realize just what I was missing out on until recently. Now I can't keep my hands off of these.
The best way to get pigment out of these is to apply them with your finger (but for those of us that have claws that's almost impossible). Either way whenever I use these it definitely elevates my look. I mostly have shimmer shadows that I use as toppers, but the mattes are equally as beautiful.
If you don't try anything else on this list, I would suggest that you pick up a few of these. Once again these eye shadows are on of a kind, and I promise they will have you OBSESSED.
If you haven't checked out any Colourpop products I need you to head over to their website right now. If you love beauty like I do, you will fall in LOVE with their products. If you're on a budget like me, then you will also fall in love with their prices.
I really appreciate what brands like Colourpop are doing. They're allowing people to get luxury beauty at an affordable prices. They're also cruelty free if you're into that sort of thing.
Let me know some of your favorite Colourpop products in the comments.
